On Saturday, November 1st, there was a fire on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction that was started by embers from fireworks.  According to Fox News and the Reedy Creek Fire Department, the fire was contained to the decorative grassy area on the attraction. Thankfully, everyone was able to get off of the roller coaster safely, without being evacuated.  The fire was quickly put out and caused no structural damage.  In fact, the ride reopened only a couple of hours later.

This incident reminded me of a similar fire early in the year.  The roof of the nearby attraction Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid had a small fire that was also caused by fireworks.  It, too, was quickly put out and there were no injuries or damages to the ride.

Knowing Disney, I am sure that they are trying to figure out ways to prevent such accidents.  However, as much as we all love Wishes, do these incidents make you nervous about the safety of the fireworks shows?  Share your thoughts in the comments.
